Prayer

Prayer is one of the most significant exercises you can enter into as a believer. Communication with God is essential for a healthy experience in your Christian walk. I would like to introduce you to a method of prayer that I think can revolutionize not only your prayer life but also the way you think.

God, the Almighty responds specifically to faith. The Bible teaches that faith comes by hearing what the Holy Bible sets forth as the good news (the gospel of Jesus Christ). The gospel was taught, preached and displayed by the disciples of Jesus. From their writings we find out what God desires for us, what He has planned for us, what He expects from us and how much He dearly loves us. When we find these truths in the word of God, we should memorize them, speak them, sing them, meditate them, write them down, listen to them and use any other creative thing we can to get them in our conscious thoughts on a daily basis. You see the Bible says it's the truth that you know that will set you free, and may I add "it will keep you free."

We have gone throughout the Bible and derived many of these prophetic promises from the Old and New Testament. We have taken these promises and put them in the first person so that when you use them, it will be as though you are speaking them for yourself. We believe this is a precise and specific way to activate your expectancy in receiving what God has promised. After all Jesus said knock and the door will be opened, seek and you will find, ask and it will be given unto you.

When the disciples asked the Lord to teach them how to pray, He gave what is called the Lord's prayer. However what He was giving them was a model for prayer. He knew we would have to ask God for many things and this model if followed, would cause us to be more effective and get our prayers answered. The Apostle Paul encouraged us to pray without ceasing. He also said that God would give us above what we ask or think so thinking should be involved. One of God's names given Him is El Shaddai (the All Sufficient One). All the prophetic promises in scripture give evidence of that; WE just need to AGREE with them, actually HIM.

I hope you enjoy this maybe new experience or perhaps encouragement to get back to this form of prayer as well as other faith-based prayer. Whatever the case, feel free to down load or use this resource right on line. Our Father God is waiting to hear from us and speak to us as well, so get excited about your prayer time and expect His best. May the Lord continue to richly bless you.

PRAYER, CONFESSION, PROCLAMATION AND PRAISE

Begin by exalting the Lord God

When You Need Help

Lord God I am acquainted with Your mercy; I am leaning on and confidently putting my trust in You. You, oh Lord, have not forsaken me. I seek and inquire of You on the authority of Your word, and by right of my necessity.

Lord God, You are my refuge and high tower when I am tempted to be oppressed. You are my refuge and stronghold in these times of trouble, high cost, destitution and desperation. Psalm 9:9, 10.

In God, Whose word I praise; in the Lord, Whose word I praise. In God have I put my trust and confident reliance; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Your vows are upon me, oh God; I will render praise to You and give You thank offerings. For You have delivered my life from death, yes, and my feet from falling, that I may walk before You in the light of life and the living. Psalm 56:10-13

Names of God

Our Father Who art in heaven hallowed be Thy name(s):

El-Elyon, You are mighty and strong always working in my behalf.

Jehovah God, You are my Father.

Baal-Perazim, You are the Lord of breaking through.

Jehovah Shammah, You are my God Who is always there.

Jehovah Rohi, You are my Shepherd, ever feeding and tending me.

El-Shaddai, You are the All Sufficient One.

Jehovah Jireh, You are the God Who sees and provides for my every need.

Jehovah Nissi, You are a banner over me.

Elohim, You are our Eternal Creator.

Jehovah Rophe, You are the God Who has healed me.

Jehovah Shalom, You are my peace.

Jehovah M'Kaddesh,You are The Lord Who sanctifies me.

Jehovah Tisidkenu, You are my righteousness.

Adonai, You are my Lord and Master.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for making the name of the Father known to me for revealing His character and very self, that the love which was bestowed upon You may continually be felt in my heart as You Yourself live in me (John 17:23,26).

Greatness of God

"Blessed be Thou Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Thine, oh Lord, is the greatness and the power, and the glory and the victory and the majesty. For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is Thine; Thine is the kingdom, oh Lord, and Thou art exalted as Head over all. Both riches and honor come of Thee and Thou reignest over all; and in Thine hand is power and might; and in Thine hand it is to make great and to give strength unto all" (I Chron. 29:11,12). "Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth, even as it is in heaven" (Matt. 6:10).

Lord Jesus, You are the exact likeness (The visible representation of the invisible unseen God); You are the first born of all creation.

For it was in You, Lord Jesus, that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers or authorities; all things were created and exist through You and in and for You.

Lord Jesus, You stand in first place, and You are preeminent in every respect. You occupy the chief place as Head of Your body, the church. The sum total of the divine perfection, powers and attributes dwell in You permanently. All things consist and are held together in You (Col. 1:15-19).

Following God in Difficulties

Christ, You are the Power and the Wisdom of God to all of us who are the called (I Cor. 1:24). Lord, You are the Shepherd and Guardian (the Bishop of our souls) (I Peter 2:25).

You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty You will give water without price from the fountain springs of the water of life (Rev. 21:6).

In the days of Your flesh (Your human existence on earth), Lord Jesus, You offered up definite special petitions (for that which You not only wanted but needed) and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him Who was always able to save You out from death, and You were heard because of Your reverence toward God.

Although You were a Son, You learned (active, special) obedience through what You suffered. And Your completed experience made You perfectly equipped, Lord Jesus, to became the Author and Source of eternal salvation to all those who give heed and obey You.

You have been designated and recognized and saluted by God as High Priest after the order (with the rank) of Melchizedek (Heb. 5:7-10; Psalm 110:4).

Because of this we look away from all that will distract to You, Lord Jesus. You are the Leader and the Source of our faith, and You are also it's Finisher (bringing our faith to maturity and perfection).

Lord, for the joy of obtaining the prize that was set before You, despising and ignoring the shame, You endured the cross, and You are now seated at the right hand of the Throne of God (Heb. 12:2).

Lord Jesus, You are my strength; You are my personal bravery and my invincible army. You make my feet like hinds feet, and You make me to walk (not stand still in terror, but to walk) and make spiritual progress upon my high places of trouble, suffering for the cause of Christ, or responsibility) (Hab. 3:19).

Wisdom

Thank You, Father, that You have given to me a spirit of wisdom and revelation into Your mysteries and secrets in the deep and intimate knowledge of Yourself. You have flooded the eyes of my heart with light. Now, I know and understand the hope to which You have called me (that joyful and expectant confidence) in my salvation with its glorious inheritance (Eph. 1:17,18).

Thank You for continuing to flood the eyes of my heart (my soul) with light, causing me to know and understand in my mind, will, and emotions the hope to which You have called me and to know (with intimacy) how rich Your glorious inheritance is in me (Eph. 1:18).

Make known through me to the angelic rulers and authorities in the heavenly sphere what is the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects (Eph. 3:10).

Lord, I watch daily at the gates of Wisdom, and I wait at the posts of her doors, that I may find life and obtain the favor of the Lord in the various ministry opportunities You have given me. I reverently and worshipfully fear You, Lord, that I may enjoy the chief and choice part of Wisdom and operate freely in the knowledge, insight, and understanding of the Holy One (Prov. 8:34-35; Prov. 9:10).

And I receive from You whatever I may ask because I watchfully obey Your orders; I observe Your suggestions and injunctions; I follow Your plan for me; and I habitually practice what is pleasing to You (1 John 3:22). I thank You, Lord, for allowing me to have an excellent spirit, knowledge and understanding to interpret dreams, clarify riddles and solve knotty problems. Light and understanding and superior wisdom are found in me (Dan. 5:12).

The Spirit of Immanuel-God with us, is resting upon me for wisdom, counsel, understanding, knowledge, might and the fear of the Lord because I am a follower of Jesus for His service and ministry. Your Spirit is the Paraclete to guide me into all truth (Isaiah 11:2-3).

Victory over Sin and the Devil

Thank You, Lord God, for disarming the principalities and powers that were ranged against me. You made a bold display and public example of them in triumphing over them in Christ and in His cross.

Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the bond with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against me, You set aside and cleared completely out of my way the bonds, regulations, decrees and demands by nailing them to the cross of my Master, Christ Jesus (Col 2:14,15).

I know absolutely that I am born of God; therefore, I do not deliberately and knowingly practice committing sin, but I carefully watch over and protect Christ's divine Presence within. I am preserved against evil, and the wicked one does not get a grip on me or touch me. I will by the grace of God keep myself from idols (anything and everything that would try to occupy the place in my heart due to You, Father). You will always have and occupy my heart (I John 5:18,21).

By the mercies of God, I present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in Your sight. This is my reasonable service (Romans 12:1). I reckon myself dead, though alive unto God through Jesus Christ; therefore, I am freed from sin.

I will not allow sin to reign in my mortal body, but I yield myself unto God as one who is alive from the dead, as a son-servant of righteousness. Romans 6:6,11,13 & 19.

Submitting to God's Will

I will stand firm and keep a solid front and steadfastness of faith in You, Master. I will lean upon You with the whole, entire human personality in absolute trust and confidence in Your power, wisdom and goodness. I will regulate my life and conduct myself in union with and in conformity to Your way of doing and being right (Col. 2:5,6).

The roots of my being are firmly and deeply planted in You. I am fixed and founded in You, Master, being continually built up and increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith (Col. 2:7).

Lord, just as You abide in the Father, You live in me and we are perfectly united that the world may know and definitely recognize You were sent by God. And that even as the Father loved You, I am loved as well by the Father as a son (John 17:21,23,25 & 26).

God's Love

There is no fear in this love that You have given me (dread does not exist). This complete, perfect love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror. I am not afraid! (I John 4:18)

For the true love of God is this: that I keep Your ordinances and stay mindful of Your precepts and teachings. I am born of You, Father God. You have given birth to me. Therefore, I am victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith (I John 5:3,4).

And You are causing me to be rooted deep in the love of God, and founded securely on that love. Thank You for the power and strength to apprehend and grasp with all the saints the experience of that love, what is the breath and length and height and depth of that love.

And I thank you that I may have the richest measure of the divine Presence (The Kabod), and become a body (a person-an individual) wholly filled and flooded with God Himself (Eph. 3:17-19).

God's Peace

You will guard and keep me in perfect and constant peace as my mind (both its inclination and its character) is stayed on You, leaning on You and hoping confidently in You. Lord, You are the everlasting Rock of Ages (Isaiah 26:3,4).

Growing in Grace

I am becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ - His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing, in that though He was so very rich in His heavenly habitation; yet for my sake, He became so very poor (taking on the veil of human flesh) in order that by His poverty, I might become abundantly supplied (II Cor. 8:9).

I am growing like a cedar in Lebanon. I am majestic; I am stable; I am durable; and I am incorruptible. I am planted in the House of the Lord; I am flourishing in the courts of my God.

I am growing in grace; I will bring forth fruit in my old age, being full of sap (spiritual vitality).

I am rich in the virtue of trust; I am rich in the love of God, and I am rich in contentment.

I am a living memorial to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to all His promises. The Lord is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Hallelujah! (Psalm 92:12-15)

God's Rest

The promise of entering His rest still holds and is offered to me today; I am afraid to distrust it. I have not come too late, neither have I come short of reaching it. I have heard the glad tidings of the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed to me, and this message benefits me greatly because I mix with it the leaning of my entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom and goodness (Heb. 4:1,2).

Because Your works, Lord Jesus, had been completed and prepared and waiting for me (as a believer) from the foundation of the world (Psalm 95:11 & Heb. 4:3), I adhere to and trust in and rely on God and do enter that rest. Today, I hear Your voice and I open my heart. I am zealous and I exert myself and strive diligently to know and experience that rest for myself. And I have ceased from the weariness and pain of human labors just as, Father God, You rested from those labors peculiarly Your own (Gen. 2:2 & Heb. 4:3,7,10-11)

Christian Lifestyle/Attitude

I will conduct myself in a manner of life that befits the gospel of Christ. I will stand firm united in spirit and purpose, striving side by side and contending with a single mind for the faith of the glad tidings (Phil. 1:27).

This kind of godly lifestyle may cause persecution, but even in case I should suffer for the sake of righteousness, I am blessed, happy and to be envied. Therefore, I will not dread or be afraid of any threats, nor will I be disturbed by opposition (I Peter 3:14).

For it is better to suffer unjustly for doing right, if that should be God's will, than to suffer justly for doing wrong (I Peter 3:17). Father God, I treasure Your word; I bear in mind Your precepts; I observe Your message to me in its entirety. Truly the love of and for God is being perfected, reaching maturity in me. By this I know that I abide in You (I John 2:5).

Lord. it is my determined purpose to know You, to progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of Your Person more strongly and more clearly. And that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from Your resurrection (which it exerts over believers).

And that I may share in Your sufferings as to be continually transformed (in spirit) into Your likeness even to Your death (in the hope) that if possible I may attain to the spiritual and moral resurrection that lifts me out from among the dead even while in the body (Phil 3:10,11).

Thank You for allowing me to partake of that nourishment of which You spake unto Your disciples, that food which You claimed is to do the will (the very pleasure) of the Father, Who sent You and has sent us to accomplish His work (John 4:32-34).

Thank You, Lord God, for filling us with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom (in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God) and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things

That we may live and conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of You Lord, fully pleasing and desiring to please You in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God (with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance and recognition).

Thank You for invigorating and strengthening us with Your mighty power according to the might of Your glory, so that we might exercise every kind of endurance with joy. We give thanks to You, Father God, because You have qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints in the light (Col 1:9-12).

Prosperity

Thank You for opening to me Your good treasury "the heavens" to give the spiritual rain of prosperity on my ministry responsibility. Thank You for blessing the work of my hands that I may never have to borrow but rather lend to the nations (Deut. 28:12).

God's Strength

Thank You for granting me out of the rich treasury of Your glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the Holy Spirit indwelling my inner most being and personality (Eph. 3:16).

Thank You, Lord, for giving me strength for all things. You have empowered me. I am ready for anything and equal to anything through You. You infuse inner strength into me, and I am self-sufficient only in Your sufficiency, Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:13).

The Joy of the Lord

Lord Jesus, for the joy of obtaining the prize that was set before You, despising and ignoring the shame, You endured the cross; You are now seated at the right hand of God (Heb 12:2).

Lord, set a clear vision of our destiny before us, allow us to be enraptured in a like kind of joy, so that we may finish our course, taking up our cross and following Your example (Acts 2:28).

I will greatly rejoice in You, Lord Jesus; my soul will exult (rejoice in triumph) in You, my God, because You have clothed me with garments of salvation, and You have covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

For as surely as the earth brings forth its shoots, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring forth, so surely the Lord God will cause rightness and justice and praise to spring forth before all the nations through the self fulfilling power of the word of God that flows through me (Isaiah 61:6-11).

The Anointing

Dear Lord, thank You for the ability, efficiency and might that You have given me in the Holy Ghost causing me to properly present Christ in teaching and preaching Your gospel with authority. I know that the springs and rivers of living water will continue to flow through me as I lift up Your mighty name (John7:38; Acts1:8; Matt. 7:29)

Just as was predicted by the prophet Ezekiel in chapter 47 verses one through twelve, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is being measured unto us as we walk, observing Your word to do it. The waters of the Holy Spirit are running out of the Holy of Holies (Your Sanctuary), and I am being caused to pass through waters that are ankle deep. But You are not satisfied with that, so You cause me to pass through waters that reach to the knees; but even that is not enough, You are causing me to pass through waters that reach unto the loins (so that You make may arrest and take the guidance to govern); and when it seems I have reached my limit, You remind me that Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit without measure (Heb 1:8,9).

And I am a member in His Body. I find myself in waters I cannot pass through. A river has risen, waters to swim in, that cannot be passed through or over. The heavy, weighty Presence of Father God has prevailed in my life (Ezekiel 47:1-12).

Faith

I agree with the revelation of God's will for my life as unveiled in the Holy Scriptures, and I give my voice to speak these truths. I am justified in speaking what the prophetic promises of God have said concerning me. Because of this I am now prospering and in health even as my mind, will and emotions prosper. I am well pleasing to my God and Father; My life as well as my family are blessed. (Faith confession)

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for causing me to abound and excel and be at the front in my faith, expressing myself in the knowledge of You (II Cor 8:7a).

Righteousness

I am righteous because of what Christ Jesus has done for me on the cross. I flourish like the palm tree. I am long lived, stately and upright; I am useful in my Father's Kingdom, bringing Him fruit that remains (Psalm 92:12).

Position in Christ/Renewed Thought Life

Thank You Lord for placing me in Christ. I am made full and have come to fullness of life (in Christ). I am filled with the Godhead (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Because of this I reach full spiritual stature. Thank You, Father, for allowing me expression of and in Thy Divine Nature (Col. 2:9,10).

I have also been raised with Christ to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead. Therefore, I purposely aim at and seek the rich eternal treasures that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God (Col 3:1 & Matt 6:33).

I have by the grace of God stripped off the old (unregenerate) self with its evil practices. And have clothed myself with the new (spiritual) self, which is ever in process of being renewed and remolded, into fuller and more perfect knowledge upon knowledge after the image (the likeness) of God Who created me. Col 3:9,10.

Above all these I put on love and enfold myself with the bond of perfectness (which binds everything together in ideal harmony). I allow this soul harmony which comes from Christ to act as umpire continually in my heart (soul) deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in my mind. Col 3:14,15.

I will continue to build myself up founded on this most holy faith. I will continue to make progress, rising up like an edifice (an elegant temple, church or mansion house) higher and higher, praying in the Holy Ghost. I will guard and keep myself (with God's help) in the love of God; expecting and patiently waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ; Who will bring me to life eternal. Jude 20,21.

And this is how I discern daily by experience that I am coming to know You Father (to perceive, recognize, understand and become better acquainted with You. I will bear in mind, observe and practice what Christ Jesus and the Apostles taught. 1John 2:3.

I have received and I keep Your commandment to love just as You have loved me. John 13:34.

Father God I am energized by this faith that You have given me, to offer to You this service as a Christian; I am motivated by Your love which is at work in me. And You have given me unwavering hope in the return of my Messiah; The Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thess. 1:3.

In You Lord Jesus are all the treasures of divine wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God). And all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden in You. Col 2:3. Thank You Father that You have raised us up together with our Lord Jesus Christ, and You have made us to sit down with Him, giving us joint seating in the heavenly sphere, by virtue of our being in Christ Jesus our Messiah; The Anointed One. Eph 2:6.

I am Your own handiwork and workmanship. You have recreated me in Christ Jesus that I may do those good works which You predestined for me. Taking paths which You prepared for me ahead of time, that I should walk in them. Eph 2:10 & Psalms 95:11.
